About Me
In my role as the Director of the Office of Interprofessional Learning, at Cleveland Clinic, I am deeply committed to fostering an interprofessional collaborative culture within the health system. I accomplish this through a multifaceted approach: I coach interprofessional teams. I design and implement innovative programs. I teach master-level courses to diverse interprofessional audiences. I facilitate faculty development workshops and provide mentorship to diverse groups and individuals.
I also direct and teach in the Cleveland State University – Cleveland Clinic Master of Education in Health Professions Education degree program.
My scholarly activity includes presenting at regional and national conferences, contributing chapters to books and authoring articles in peer-reviewed journals. I have received awards and delivered invited presentations. Furthermore, I have had the privilege of serving as the National Chair for the GME Section of the AAMC Group on Educational Affairs and currently serve as Deputy Editor for the Teaching and Learning in Medicine international journal.

SAFEMED
A wellbeing program developed by Dr. Margaret O'Rourke at University College Cork (UCC), in Ireland. Originally the program was face-to-face only, now enhanced by technology.
UCC medical students answer a battery of questions to create an electronic stress profile.
Before beginning SAFEMED, UCC students are encouraged to use the information presented in their profile to help them identify areas to focus on during the program.
